Our Tutors
Class Act Drama Centre recognise that our teaching staff are our greatest resource
The centre employs over 30 drama teachers who facilitate our classes and courses. Tutors are both actively engaged in the industry and qualified to teach, whilst holding advanced CRB/DBS checks and postgraduate qualifications.
Our most senior tutors hold higher associated degrees and are full members of Equity the British Actor’s Union. Tutors are highly experienced professional actors and directors, with many directing in excess of 20 stage shows per year. Their wealth of knowledge and experience is complimented by their active connections within the industry.
Recent initiatives ensure that alongside a rigorous selection process new tutors must undertake our initial mentored training programme before they can lead a class of their own. In addition all of our tutors regardless of how long they have been part of the teaching team must undertake peer reviews every 3 months and further practical training every 6 months. All of our tutors are trained in accordance with our safeguarding policy and its supporting procedures. Our continual staff training is designed to consistently improve the level of service we offer whilst maintaining high standards for all of our members.
Our supporting tutors who assist our lead tutors are subject to the same training programmes.
